Kia India is planning to launch its all new Kia Carens Clavis EV in Indian Market in upcoming weeks. Now, company has officially teased this car on the social media, offering a first look at its futuristic design, tech-rich cabin, and impressive 490 km range.
As per the media reports company is planning to launch this car on July 15, and is set to become one of the most affordable 7-seater EV in India, targeting families looking for space, style, and sustainability.
So, lets know what are we expecting from this upcoming EV.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Exterior Design
The design of the Kia Carens Clavis EV will be very much similar to its ICE sibling but adds EV-specific styling cues such as connected LED DRLs with integrated turn signals, aero-optimized alloy wheels for improved efficiency, and front-mounted charging port with silver garnish.

It also has been equipped with star Map LED tail lamps and rugged skid plates and subtle tweaks to the front bumper and fog lamps for a more aerodynamic look. Let us tell you that these enhancements give the EV a modern, premium stance while preserving the Carens identity.
We are expecting that the official dimensions of this EV will remain unchanged, the upcoming Carens Clavis EV continues to offer- a 7-seater layout as standard (6-seater variant may follow), spacious cabin with flat floor design for better legroom, and floating roof effect with blacked-out D-pillar and roof rails.
Its MPV-SUV crossover form factor ensures a balance of practicality and road presence.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Powertrain & Range
The Carens Clavis EV is expected to share its powertrain with the Hyundai Creta EV, offering two battery options- first 42 kWh (approx. 390 km range), and second 51.4 kWh (MIDC-certified 490 km range).
It also has been equipped with 171 PS electric motor which generates 255 Nm torque (FWD layout). This car will be equipped with 50kW DC fast charging tech, which allow this car to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes.
Apart from this EV will also support vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability for powering external devices. This makes it ideal for both urban commutes and long-distance family travel.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Cabin & Features
The interior of the Carens Clavis EV is a major highlight, blending luxury with utility. It will be equipped with dual 12.3-inch digital displays for infotainment and driver cluster, floating center console with wireless charging pad and extra storage.
It also has panoramic sunroof for an airy cabin feel, front ventilated seats, smart air purifier, and ambient lighting. Also, there will be Bose 8-speaker premium audio system, redesigned black-and-white interior theme exclusive to the EV. Kia’s focus on ergonomics and tech ensures a comfortable, connected experience.

Safety & ADAS: Class-Leading Protection
The Carens Clavis EV will come equipped with a comprehensive safety suite such as level 2 ADAS with 20 autonomous features, 6 airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, and downhill brake control.
It will also feature all-wheel disc brakes, vehicle stability management, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, and electronic parking brake. These features position it as one of the safest EVs in its segment.
Expected Pricing & Launch Timeline
We are expecting that Kia Carens Clavis EV will be launched at the starting price of Rs 15–16 lakh (ex-showroom), It will be launch on July 15, 2025 in India, and its delivery is likely to begin by August 2025. This pricing gives it a strong edge over rivals like the BYD e6 and upcoming MG M9.
