Lexus ES Looks Attractive

The upcoming Lexus ES is expected to retain its elegant and sporty styling while receiving a few subtle design updates. At the front, the luxury sedan will continue to feature the brand’s signature spindle grille, which gives the car a bold and premium road presence.

The sleek LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) are likely to appear sharper, giving the front fascia a more modern and aggressive look.

From the side, the ES carries a long and flowing silhouette, highlighting its premium executive sedan character. The smooth body lines, chrome window surrounds, and stylish 18-inch alloy wheels add to its sophisticated appeal. The sloping roofline blends neatly into the rear section, giving the sedan a slightly coupe-like appearance while maintaining practicality.

At the rear, the sedan is expected to feature sleek LED tail lamps, a sculpted boot lid, and a neatly integrated rear bumper that enhances its overall clean design language. These elements give the car a refined yet sporty finish.

In terms of size, the Lexus ES is a large luxury sedan. It measures around 4,975 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,445 mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at approximately 2,870 mm.

Lexus ES: Cabin

Talking about the cabin, It features a more modern and minimalist design compared to the previous model. Lexus has moved away from the earlier button-heavy dashboard and introduced a cleaner layout centered around a larger 14-inch infotainment touchscreen.

This display handles many in-car functions and also supports over-the-air (OTA) software updates. Several other controls, especially those placed on the centre console, now use touch-capacitive switches, giving the interior a more futuristic feel.

However, the three-spoke steering wheel still retains physical buttons for important functions, making it easier for the driver to operate. It also features ‘LEXUS’ lettering instead of the traditional ‘L’ badge.

In terms of features, the luxury sedan comes well equipped with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a premium Mark Levinson audio system, and an electrochromic panoramic glass roof.

The equipment list also includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a Boss mode for enhanced rear-seat comfort, powered front seats with memory function, and reclining rear seats for a more relaxing ride.

Lexus has also focused on improving refinement, claiming lower NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) levels through better door sealing and the use of high sound-insulation glass in the front doors, which should make the cabin noticeably quieter.

Lexus ES: Powertrain

Globally, the latest generation of the Lexus ES is offered with both hybrid and fully electric powertrain options. Since the current ES sold in India is available only as a hybrid model, the upcoming version is also expected to continue with a hybrid setup for the Indian market.

Internationally, the ES 300h is offered with two petrol-hybrid configurations. The first uses a 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine producing around 197 hp, while the second features a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid unit delivering about 201 hp. A more powerful ES 350h variant is also available, which uses the same 2.5-litre hybrid engine but tuned to produce 247 hp.

All hybrid versions are paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission, and depending on the variant, buyers can choose between front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.

In addition to hybrid models, Lexus also offers the ES with fully electric powertrains in global markets. The electric lineup includes the ES 350e, which produces 224 hp through a single electric motor driving the front wheels. This version claims a CLTC driving range of up to 685 km on a single charge.

A more powerful ES 550e variant is also available, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 343 hp. Lexus has not yet revealed the exact battery capacities for these EV models.

In terms of performance, the 350e can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around 8.9 seconds, while the 550e completes the same sprint in approximately 5.9 seconds.
