Lexus India has officially kicked off deliveries of its flagship full-size luxury SUV, the Lexus LX 500d, marking a significant milestone for the brand in the country.
The first units were handed over to customers on June 11, 2025, from its Bengaluru facility. Priced at ₹3.00 crore for the Urban variant and ₹3.12 crore for the Overtrail trim (ex-showroom), the LX 500d is already turning heads in the premium SUV segment.
Features of Lexus LX 500d
At the heart of the LX 500d is a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine that produces a robust 304 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and comes equipped with full-time 4WD, making it equally capable on city roads and rough terrains.

The Overtrail variant is designed for more adventurous drivers, featuring additional off-road gear like front and rear differential locks, matte grey alloys, and rugged tyres.
Luxury meets technology inside the cabin, which features air-bladder supported refresh seats, four-zone climate control, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an optional seat massager. On the safety front, the LX 500d is equipped with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, offering Level-2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane trace assist, pre-collision alert, and blind spot monitoring.

To ensure peace of mind for owners, Lexus also offers a Luxury Care service program with three packages—Comfort, Relax, and Premiere—covering up to 8 years or 160,000 km. With the LX 500d, Lexus is redefining what a diesel-powered luxury SUV can be in India.
