The Hyundai Inster-Based EV is set to redefine urban electric mobility when it arrives in India by mid-2026. It is expected to offer two battery options 42 kWh and 49 kWh, delivering WLTP-rated ranges of over 300 km and up to 355 km, respectively.

The Kia Syros EV is emerging as a showstopper in India’s compact electric SUV market. Slated for an early 2026 launch, it is expected to offer two battery options first, 42 kWh and second 51.4 kWh delivering claimed ranges of 390 km and 473 km, respectively.
Under the hood, a single motor setup with front-wheel drive and fast-charging support (10–80% in under 60 minutes) ensures practicality.
Inside, you can expect dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS. Standard safety features will include six airbags, blending technology, safety, and style, with prices expected to range between ₹14 lakh and ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom).
4. Upcoming Compact Electric SUVs: Tata Punch EV Facelift
The Tata Punch EV Facelift is anticipated to maintain its dual battery options—25 kWh and 35 kWh—offering ranges of up to 265 km and 365 km, respectively.
Power output is likely to stay at 82 hp for the standard variant and 122 hp for the Long Range version, paired with a single-speed transmission and front-wheel drive. Key features may include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital cluster, ventilated seats, a 360° camera, and wireless charging.

5: Upcoming Compact Electric SUVs: Maruti Suzuki eVitara
Maruti Suzuki is also working on its upcoming e-Vitara. It will feature a fresh design and will be built on the company’s new electric platform. This car will come equipped with an all-LED lighting setup and a redesigned set of alloy wheels.
The anticipated range of the e-Vitara is expected to be between 400 and 500 kilometers per charge. The price and availability of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be announced at the time of its launch.
