Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift in the Works? New Cabin Design Leaked Online
Mahindra is reportedly gearing up for first major mid-cycle update of Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift, and fresh spy images have sparked excitement among SUV enthusiasts.
While the exterior changes appear to be subtle, newly leaked interior details hint at a significantly more premium cabin with upgraded technology and improved comfort.
Although Mahindra has not officially confirmed the facelift or its features, the latest test mule suggests that the popular SUV could receive meaningful updates to stay competitive in India’s fast-growing full-size SUV segment.
Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N facelift.
New Cabin Design Leaked Online
Latest spy images indicate that the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N facelift is likely to retain the familiar brown-and-black dual-tone interior seen in the current model.
However, the cabin appears to receive several notable upgrades, including a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system inspired by the Thar Roxx, along with a fully digital instrument cluster.
If Mahindra follows the Thar Roxx setup, both displays could measure 10.25 inches. The central air-conditioning vents have also been repositioned below the infotainment screen, while the centre console features redesigned switchgear for a more contemporary look.
Apart from these updates, the overall dashboard layout and cabin design seem largely unchanged. In terms of features, the facelifted Scorpio N is expected to introduce a panoramic sunroof while retaining premium equipment such as a wireless smartphone charger, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12-speaker Sony audio system, a powered driver’s seat, and ventilated front seats.
Design and Powertrain Likely to Remain Unchanged
While Mahindra is expected to refresh the cabin with new technology, the overall exterior design of the Scorpio N facelift is likely to remain largely unchanged.
The SUV is expected to retain its bold stance, signature six-slat grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps, muscular wheel arches, and upright proportions that have made it one of the most recognizable SUVs in its segment. Mahindra may introduce subtle styling tweaks, such as redesigned alloy wheels, updated front and rear bumpers, or revised lighting elements, but no major changes are expected to its overall silhouette.
Under the hood, the Scorpio N facelift is likely to continue with the existing 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines. These powertrains are expected to remain paired with the current 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions, while the diesel variants should continue to offer both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations.
Since the current engine lineup already delivers strong performance and meets customer expectations, Mahindra is unlikely to make any significant mechanical changes with the upcoming facelift.
Expected Price of Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift
Mahindra is yet to reveal the pricing of the Scorpio N facelift, but the updated SUV is expected to carry a slight premium over the current model due to the addition of new features and cabin upgrades.
The existing Scorpio N is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 25.42 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelifted version could see a price increase of around Rs 30,000 to Rs 70,000, depending on the variant.
Once launched, it will continue to rival the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar in the Indian market.
