Mahindra is working on its new electric car for the Indian market. Now company has just dropped a fresh teaser of its upcoming Mahindra Vision S concept.
Company is planning to launch this car on August 15, 2025, during the brand’s annual Freedom NU event.
This marks Mahindra’s fifth consecutive Independence Day reveal, and the Vision S is shaping up to be a bold step toward electrifying its iconic Scorpio lineup.
So, lets know what are the features available in this upcoming electric car.

Features of Mahindra Vision S
Mahindra Vision S is widely speculated to be a Scorpio N EV concept it will be based on futuristic electric mobility platform. It’s part of Mahindra’s broader strategy to electrify its legacy models, including the Thar, Bolero, XUV, and now, the Scorpio.
The latest teaser reveals several striking design elements such as Boxy silhouette with a high stance, reminiscent of the Scorpio’s muscular DNA, Flat clamshell bonnet featuring prominent vents, Chunky off-road tyres and flared wheel arches for enhanced road presence, Sealed-off front fascia and upright nose, suggesting EV-specific styling, and Charging flap subtly integrated under the nose.
Mahindra Vision S: Platform and Powertrain
Upcoming Vision S is expected to be built on Mahindra’s new NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform. This modular architecture supports both internal combustion engines and electric powertrains, giving Mahindra the flexibility to tailor models for different markets and regulations.
While exact specs remain under wraps, the presence of EV-specific design elements strongly suggests that the Vision S will be offered in an electric avatar, possibly alongside a conventional variant.
It will be equipped with powerful battery pack and electric motor. As per the reports this car will give electric range of 500 km per charge.
Mahindra Vision S: Tech Features
Though the interior hasn’t been revealed, industry insiders anticipate a tech-rich cabin. It will be equipped with Large touchscreen infotainment system, Level-2 ADAS capabilities, Panoramic sunroof, and Connected car features and premium materials
These additions would align the Vision S with modern SUV expectations and Mahindra’s push toward smart mobility.
The price and availability of upcoming Vision S will be announced at the time of its launch. We are expecting that company may launch this EV at starting price of Rs 25-30 lakh ex-showroom.
