Mahindra and Mahindra is gearing up for something significant in the Indian market. The company has officially unveiled its Mahindra Vision X concept SUV, which will be a derivative of the X-series model.
Reports indicate that Mahindra plans to introduce this model globally in 2027. The Vision X boasts a futuristic design with a boxy look and is dimensionally similar to the Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Mahindra Vision X: Design
The Vision X features futuristic headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs), complemented by an X-shaped multi-slat front grille.
Its design includes sleek outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), flush door handles, air intakes, silver skid plates, and squared-off wheels with gloss black accents.
Additionally, the SUV is equipped with blacked-out B-pillars, a rear end featuring a connected LED tail light bar, and gloss black bumpers.
Mahindra Vision X: Cabin
The interior of the Mahindra Vision X showcases a futuristic cabin filled with advanced features tailored for next-generation SUV buyers.
It includes a dual-screen setup, featuring a large infotainment display and a fully digital driver’s cluster that provides connected car technology and AI-based voice assistance.
The dashboard has a minimalistic and premium layout, utilizing soft-touch materials and ambient lighting to enhance its luxurious feel. The cabin is spacious and includes ergonomically designed seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and multiple USB-C ports.
Safety features are bolstered with ADAS Level 2, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems. Overall, the Vision X seamlessly integrates comfort, technology, and innovation.

Powertrain of the Vision X
The Mahindra Vision X is expected to be powered by an advanced all-electric powertrain, built on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform.
It is likely to have a high-capacity battery pack offering a range of approximately 450-500 km on a single charge, with fast-charging capabilities to recharge up to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
The SUV may feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup for enhanced performance, delivering instant torque and smooth acceleration.
Mahindra is also focused on efficiency, incorporating regenerative braking and multiple drive modes to enhance overall versatility.
With this configuration, the Vision X aims to balance performance, long-range usability, and eco-friendly driving.
Price, Availability, and Rivals
The Mahindra Vision X is anticipated to launch between 2028 and 2029, with an estimated price range of Rs 8-16 lakh, positioning it as a strong competitor in the compact SUV segment.
Upon its release, it will rival models such as the Tata Nexon EV, Maruti eVitara, Hyundai Venue, Kia Seltos EV, and Skoda Kushaq in India.
