Maruti Baleno Scores 4 Stars in Bharat NCAP: In a major leap forward for vehicle safety in India, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has officially scored a 4-star safety rating for adult occupant protection and a 3-star rating for child occupant protection in the latest Bharat NCAP crash test results.

Maruti Baleno 2-airbag variants (Sigma and Delta) and the 6-airbag variants (Zeta and Alpha) of the Baleno were tested under the Bharat NCAP protocols. Impressively, both versions managed to secure a 4-star rating for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP).
Let us tell you that the 6-airbag variant scored 26.52 out of 32 points, thanks to enhanced protection from side and curtain airbags.
On the Other hand 2-airbag variant wasn’t far behind, scoring 24.04 out of 32 points, demonstrating the car’s well-engineered safety structure.

In the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, both variants of the Baleno scored 34.81 out of 49 points, earning it a 3-star rating.
While the car received full marks for ISOFIX anchorage systems (12/12 points), the performance in actual crash scenarios for child dummies left some scope for improvement.
