India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has released its sales report of December 2023. According to the sales report, company has sold 1,37,551 units last month which was 1,39,347 units in the same month in 2022.
Maruti register 6.46 percent Y-o-Y sales decline in passenger car segment. Company had sold total 1,04,778 units passenger cars in December 2023, which is nearly 7,650 less than the 1,12,010 units sold in December 2022 in the country.
Sales of Maruti’s entry-level small cars were lower again. last month company has sold only 2,557 units as compared to 9,765 units in December 2023. Similarly sale of the compact cars also declined to 45,741 units last month against 57, 502 units in the December 2022.
On the other had UV segment sales were increased to 45,957 units in last month of 2023 from 33,008 units in same period in 2022. Company sold only 489 units of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in mid sedan segment.
However, company saw 23.34 percent Y-o-Y growth in exports. Last month company exported 26,884 units which was 21,796 in December 2022.
