MG Motors has electrified the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed with the global debut of its premium electric vehicle duo: the sleek IM5 sedan and the bold IM6 SUV.
Designed to compete with Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y, these futuristic vehicles combine cutting-edge technology, impressive performance, and luxurious features into an enticing package.
With a claimed range of up to 710 km, ultra-fast charging, and Porsche-inspired styling, MG’s new offerings mark a significant entry into the high-performance EV segment.

MG IM5: The Performance-Focused Liftback
The latest MG IM5 features a coupe-like silhouette, flush door handles, 19-inch aero wheels, and a panoramic sunroof.
Inside, it boasts a dual-screen setup, consisting of a 26.3-inch curved display and a 10.5-inch touchscreen, along with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a 20-speaker audio system.
The IM5 is available in 75 kWh and 100 kWh variants, with the Long Range model offering up to 710 km on a single charge. Its 800V architecture allows for quick charging, enabling a 10–80% charge in just 17 minutes.
This powertrain produces a maximum output of 742 hp and a peak torque of 802 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

MG IM6: The Tech-Packed Electric SUV
In contrast, the MG IM6 features a taller stance, rugged cladding, a redesigned front fascia, and 665 liters of boot space. It comes equipped with a 100 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 624 km, and produces an impressive 742 hp.
The IM6 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and includes rear-wheel steering for enhanced agility. Like the IM5, the IM6 features the same dual-screen setup, panoramic sunroof, and luxurious finishes.

The standard variant of the MG IM5 has been launched at the starting price of Rs 42.5 lakh and Long Range version is available at the starting price of Rs 48.5 lakh, and performance variant has been available at Rs 52.3 lakh.
On the other hand the MG IM6 Long Range has been launched at the starting price of Rs 51.8 lakh, performance variant at Rs 55.2 lakh and Launch Edition at Rs 57.3 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
