MG Motors is currently developing the updated MG Windsor Pro EV, which is set to launch in India on May 5th.
This new electric vehicle (EV) will feature a revamped battery pack, an extended range, fresh styling elements, additional features, and upgraded technology.
Since its launch, the MG Windsor EV has been a best-seller, with more than 20,000 units sold.

Updated Features of the MG Windsor Pro EV
In terms of design, the MG Windsor Pro EV will closely resemble its current generation model. It will include a closed front grille, LED lighting, a muscular bonnet, alloy wheels, and electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs).
Regarding dimensions, the Windsor EV will maintain the same size as the current model. The Windsor Pro is expected to introduce vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, enabling users to power everything from small appliances to tools directly from the car.

Additional features could include electrically adjustable front seats and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). There may also be some styling updates both inside and outside the vehicle.
The Windsor Pro will be positioned above the current top-spec Essence variant, offering features such as a digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, a fixed glass roof, and ambient lighting.

Powertrain of the MG Windsor Pro EV
The Windsor Pro is anticipated to come equipped with a larger battery pack, which should provide a greater range than the current model.
It may feature a 50.6 kWh battery similar to the Cloud EV sold in Indonesia, which offers a range of 460 km on a single charge. In contrast, the existing model has a 38 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 332 km.
Price
The new variant is expected to be priced higher than the current model, ranging from Rs 14 to 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
