Nissan and Renault June 2025 Sales Report

Nissan India Sales Report

Sales Report: June 2025 proved challenging for both Nissan and Renault in India, as the two automakers recorded notable year-on-year declines in passenger vehicle sales.

Despite modest month-on-month improvements, overall volumes remained subdued amid a broader market slowdown. With monsoon season and low consumer sentiment impacting footfalls, both brands are now banking on upcoming launches to regain momentum.

The sales figures reflect shifting dynamics in the compact SUV and entry-level segments, where competition continues to intensify across domestic and global players.

Nissan India Sales: Magnite Holds Ground Amid Decline

Nissan India sold 1,313 units in June 2025, marking a 38% drop compared to the same month last year. The entire sales volume came from the Magnite, which continues to be the brand’s sole contributor in the domestic market.

While the Magnite saw a 2% decline over May 2025, Nissan’s overall performance remains under pressure due to limited portfolio options.

The X-Trail registered zero dispatches, further highlighting the need for fresh products. Nissan has outlined plans to introduce four new models, including an A-segment EV and a premium three-row SUV, to revive its presence in India.

Renault India recorded 2,625 units in June 2025, reflecting a 26% year-on-year decline.

Renault India Sales: Triber Leads, But Overall Volume Drops

Renault India recorded 2,625 units in June 2025, reflecting a 26% year-on-year decline. The Triber led the charge with 1,421 units, followed by the Kiger at 755 units and the Kwid at 449 units.

While Triber and Kiger showed slight month-on-month gains, Kwid’s numbers dipped by 17% over May. Renault’s compact lineup continues to face stiff competition, especially in the entry-level and subcompact SUV segments.

The brand is preparing to re-enter the midsize SUV space with the next-gen Duster and a new three-row derivative, aiming to regain lost ground in the second half of 2025.
