Nissan India has reached a major global milestone by exporting over 1.2 million vehicles (around 12 lakh) from its manufacturing plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This marks a significant achievement for the brand’s ‘Make in India, Made for the World’ strategy.
Since starting exports in 2010, Nissan has shipped cars to more than 100 countries, including Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and countries in the Middle East and Europe.

According to Nissan, India remains a crucial export hub, supported by strong local manufacturing and engineering talent. The brand plans to expand its export portfolio further while introducing new products tailored for both domestic and global markets.
