Ola Electric is set to electrify the Indian streets with its first-ever Ola Electric Sports Scooter, coming this Independence Day (August 15).
Now, company has officially teased a striking new image on its social media. This comes as part of their annual ‘Sankalp’ event and signals a bold expansion into the performance scooter segment.
Ola’s entry into the sports scooter category is more than just a new product it’s a strategic bid to capture the growing performance-centric Indian EV market.
This upcoming sports scooter will be much sportier in design and powerful setup. So, lets know what are the features available in this electric scooter.
Ola Electric Sports Scooter: Expecting Features?
As per the information the specifics on design, dimensions haven’t been released yet, the teaser hints at a sleeker, more aggressive stance compared to the regular S1 lineup, signaling a sporty makeover for urban riders.
This scooter will be equipped with LED lighting setup, TFT display with smartphone connectivity, and new design for the alloy-wheels.
Some reports indicates that upcoming scooter will integrate AI features powered by Ola Krutrim, likely offering dynamic ride modes, and predictive performance tweaks that give it an edge over competitors.
Talking about the braking the upcoming scooter will be equipped with brake-by-wire systems and dual-channel ABS. The sports model to carry these plus beefier suspension for sharper handling and stability at higher speeds.
Powertrain of the upcoming OLA scooter is currently unknown but reports suggest that this model will carry battery setup of OLA S1 pro. For reference Ola S1 Pro comes with 5.5 kW electric motor, which generates maximum power of 11 kW. It also has a 4 kWh lithium-ion battery (IP67-rated).
Ola Electric Sports Scooter: Price and Availability
The price and availability of the upcoming OLA Electric scooter will be announced at the time of its launch. Reports suggest that this model may be launched at the starting price of Rs 1.2 lakh-1.3 lakh ex-showroom.
This model will compete with Hero Vida V1, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather 450S.
