Renault Duster 7-Seater Spotted During Testing On Indian Roads, Whats New?

Car Maker Renault is gearing up for a bold comeback in the Indian SUV market, and company is working on its new Renault Duster 7-Seater.

We are expecting that it could be possibly named as Bigster or Boreal. This car has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage on Indian roads, this new three-row SUV is expected to debut globally on July 10, 2025.

So, lets know what are we expecting form this upcoming Car.

Expected Features of Renault Duster 7-Seater

As per the report the camouflaged 7-seater SUV was seen with red temporary registration plates from Tamil Nadu, hinting at local testing and validation.

This SUV will be equipped with some borrowed features of global Dacia Bigster concept. It has chunky roof rails, sporty rear spoiler, upright silhouette with large windows, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED DRLs integrated into a bold front fascia.

Inside the cabin this car has 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Digital instrument cluster, Panoramic sunroof, Ventilated seats, Rear AC vents, Level 2 ADAS and Terrain Control modes (Snow, Mud/Sand, Off-Road, Eco, Auto).

Powertrain and Safety Features

Renault is expected to offer multiple powertrain options, aligning with its global strategy. It will be available in an option of a 1.2L turbocharged unit and a 1.0L turbo petrol. Also, strong hybrid and mild hybrid variants are under consideration.

As per the reports a CNG version and a dual-motor AWD EV could follow in later stages.

Renault has built this car on CMF-B platform and recently updated Duster has scored 3 stars in Euro NCAP, with 85% child occupant protection and 69% adult safety rating.

Indian Specific model will also follow same but it will be launched under Duster nameplate to retain a derivative to capitalize on its brand equity.

Price and Availability

the base petrol variant could start around Rs 13 to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), while the strong hybrid versions may range between Rs 17 to Rs 19 lakh. For top-end variants featuring all-wheel drive or a potential dual-motor EV setup, prices could go up to Rs 21 to Rs 23 lakh.
