Tata Motors has once again raised the bar for automotive safety in India with newly launched Tata Harrier EV.

Now this car has secured a 5-star safety rating in the latest Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP) crash tests, making it one of the safest electric SUVs on Indian roads today.

During the crash test Tata Harrier EV has scored a perfect 32 out of 32 in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, becoming only the second vehicle in India to achieve this feat after the Mahindra XUV 9e.

This SUV also earned 45 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP), matching its closest rival in safety credentials.

Also, In Front Offset Test it score Full 16/16 points, In Side Impact Test it score Full 16/16 points and in Side Pole Impact it has been Rated “OK”.

Tata Harrier EV: Safety Features

Tata Harrier EV has been equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including Up to 7 airbags (standard 6, 7 on top trims), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchors, Three-point seatbelts with reminders for all passengers, Level 2 ADAS suite on Empowered variants, Hill hold/descent control, TPMS, and 360-degree camera.

The tested variants Empowered 75 and Empowered 75 AWD represent the top end of the Harrier EV lineup, but the safety rating applies across all trims.

Now, Harrier EV becomes Tata’s eighth vehicle to earn a 5-star safety rating under BNCAP, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to building safer cars for Indian families.

Tata Harrier EV: Price

The Tata Harrier EV is priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹27.49 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant. Bookings are set to open on July 2, 2025, with deliveries expected to begin shortly after.
