Tata Motors is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of the Tata Harrier EV on June 3, 2025. This premium electric SUV, based on the ICE Harrier’s OMEGARC platform, has been extensively re-engineered to incorporate Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture, ensuring a blend of performance, range, and modern features.

Tata Harrier EV: Design
The Tata Harrier EV boasts a bold and futuristic design, blending the rugged appeal of the ICE Harrier with modern EV styling cues.
It features a closed-off gloss black grille, sleek LED DRLs connected by an illuminated light bar, and a sharply sculpted bumper with triangular air vents. The side profile remains muscular with flared wheel arches and aero-optimized alloy wheels.
At the rear, a full-width LED tail lamp setup and a redesigned bumper enhance its high-tech vibe. Finished with EV-specific badging and minimalistic details, the Harrier EV embodies a clean yet commanding road presence fit for the future.
Tata Harrier EV: Powertrain and Performance
As per the reports the upcoming Tata Harrier EV is expected to feature a dual-motor setup, providing all-wheel-drive capabilities. Equipped with a 75 kWh battery pack, it aims to deliver a range exceeding 500 km on a single charge.
The electric SUV will support both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations, catering to diverse driving preferences.

Tata Harrier EV: Cabin and Features
The cabin of the Harrier EV mirrors its ICE counterpart but introduces several EV-specific enhancements. It will be equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
There will be 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, Dual-zone climate control and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting, a premium 10-speaker JBL audio system.
It will also has features like vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities and a Over-the-air (OTA) updates and connected car technology.
Tata Harrier EV: Safety Features
Talking about the safety features the Harrier EV will be equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including lane keep assist, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking.
It will be equipped with Seven airbags for comprehensive occupant protection, 360-degree camera system and electronic stability control, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and hill descent control.
Tata Harrier EV: Price
While official pricing details are yet to be announced, industry estimates suggest that the Harrier EV will be priced between ₹25 lakh and ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom). This positions it competitively against rivals like the Mahindra XUV.e8, BYD Atto 3, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
