Tata Sierra EV to Be Launched Tomorrow: Expected Design, Battery, Features, Price and Launch Details
Tata Motors is all set to unveil one of its most anticipated electric SUVs, the Tata Sierra EV, tomorrow. Reviving the iconic Sierra nameplate in an all-electric avatar, the SUV is expected to combine nostalgic styling with modern technology and premium features.
First showcased in concept form and later in near-production guise at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Sierra EV has generated significant excitement among Indian buyers.
Built on Tata’s latest EV architecture, the upcoming SUV is expected to offer a spacious cabin, advanced connected technology and competitive driving range, making it a strong contender in India’s fast-growing premium electric SUV segment.

Tata Sierra EV Expected Design
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to stay close to the concept showcased earlier, featuring a bold SUV stance with clean body lines and a modern interpretation of the original Sierra’s iconic wraparound rear glass design.
The front fascia could feature connected LED DRLs, vertically stacked headlamps, an illuminated Tata logo and aerodynamic alloy wheels.
Flush door handles, squared wheel arches, full-width LED tail lamps and dual-tone exterior colour options are also expected, giving the SUV a futuristic yet unmistakably Sierra-inspired identity.
Expected Powertrain Options
Tata Motors is expected to offer the Sierra EV with multiple battery pack options to cater to different customer needs. The larger battery variant could deliver a claimed driving range of over 500 km on a single charge.
Both single-motor front-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations are expected to be introduced over time.
Fast-charging capability, regenerative braking, multiple drive modes and vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality may also be part of the package, enhancing practicality for daily commuting and long-distance travel.
Premium Cabin Loaded With Technology
Inside, the Tata Sierra EV is expected to feature a premium and spacious cabin with a minimalist dashboard design.
The SUV could offer dual digital displays, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting and a premium JBL audio system.
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), connected car technology, a 360-degree camera and multiple airbags are also expected to enhance comfort, convenience and safety.
Tata Sierra EV: Expected Price and Availability
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be officially unveiled tomorrow, while customer deliveries could begin in the coming months. Prices are likely to start from around Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 30 lakh for higher variants. It will rival the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric and MG Windsor EV.
Why This Launch Matters to Indian Buyers?
The Tata Sierra EV represents more than just another electric SUV—it marks the return of one of India’s most iconic automotive nameplates in a modern, zero-emission form.
As EV adoption accelerates, buyers are looking for vehicles that combine long range, advanced technology, premium features and trusted after-sales support.
The Sierra EV could fill this gap while strengthening Tata Motors’ leadership in the electric passenger vehicle segment. Its launch may also intensify competition, giving Indian consumers more choices in the premium EV market.
