Tata Motors is all set to launch its all new Tata Sierra in the Indian market. Company is planning to launch this SUV in the first half of 2026. Now, this model has been spotted testing in the India near Pune. The spotted model was production ready.

Sierra will be offered in both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants, making it one of the most versatile and future-ready SUVs in its class.

So, lets know what are the features available in the upcoming Tata Sierra.

What are we expecting from Tata Sierra?

Tata Sierra retains the signature wide glasshouse and boxy silhouette of the original, but now features full-width LED DRLs and tail lamps, flush door handles, panoramic glass roof, and bold “Sierra” branding on the C-pillar

This upcoming car will be built on Tata’s Gen 2 Acti.EV platform, the SUV promises a strong, crash-tested structure with improved space and modularity.

Tata Sierra: Powertrain and Cabin

Tata is targeting a wide audience by offering the Sierra in both electric and petrol avatars. The Sierra EV will give range of 500–550 km (MIDC) with Dual-motor AWD setup. It will support Fast charging and Regenerative braking and drive modes

On the other hand Sierra ICE Likely to feature a 1.5L turbo petrol and 2.0L diesel engine options. For transmission this engine will be mated with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. It will be equipped with Drive modes and terrain response system.

Sierra is expected to offer a triple-screen dashboard layout, inspired by Tata’s latest EVs. Key features may include: 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, Digital instrument cluster + co-passenger display, Level 2 ADAS with lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, and blind spot detection.

It also has a Ventilated seats, wireless charging, and dual-zone climate control, and Connected car tech with OTA updates. The cabin will likely feature soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, and premium upholstery, positioning the Sierra as a luxury lifestyle SUV.

Expected Price

Tata is expected to price the Sierra competitively ICE variants Rs 15–22 lakh (ex-showroom), and EV variants Rs 25–30 lakh (ex-showroom). In India this model will compete with Mahindra XEV 9e and more.
