South Korean car manufacturer Kia Motors is planning to expand its portfolio in the Indian market. The company is going to launch 4 new vehicles in the country in 2024.
As per the reports Kia will launch its Sonet facelift, Carnival facelift, KIA EV9 and 2024 Clavis compact SUV in the country in the coming few months. In this article we will talk about the upcoming KIA cars in India.

2024 KIA Sonet Facelift
Kia Motors is currently preparing to launch its 2024 KIA Sonet facelift model. As per the reports this vehicle will be launched in January 2024. This car has a 16-inch wheels, a shark-fin antenna and LED headlights with connected LED taillamps. Inside the cabin it has features like ventilated seats, mood lighting, 6 airbags, Bose sound system and level-1 ADAS technology.
The SUV will be offered in 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (120hp/172Nm), 1.5-litre diesel engine (116hp/250Nm) and 1.2-litre petrol engine (83hp/115Nm). The price of this upcoming SUV is unknown, but we are ecpecting that the price of this car will be approx 8 lakhs.
2024 Carnival facelift
Kia Motors is also preparing to launch the facelift version of 2024 Kia Carnival MPV in the Indian market next year. Its testing has been started in the country.
As per the information this car will be equipped with a 3.5-litre V6 engine, which is cabable of generating maximum power of 290hp power and peak torque of around 355Nm. The car will have a 12-inch infotainment system, which supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and connected car technology.
This car will have a 9-seater cabin and Anti-lock breaking system. The expected price of this upcoming MPV is around 32-35 lakhs.
2024 KIA EV9
Kia Motors may also introduce electric version of 2024 KIA EV9 next year in the country. The concept version of KIA EV9 is already showcase few month back in India.
This car is built on Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) plateform. It has LED headlights, LED DRLs, closed tiger-nose grille, flush door handles and futuristics alloy wheels.
The 2024 Kia EV9 comes with a 76.1kWh battery. It is capable of giving a range of about 359 kilometers in a single charge. It takes about 25 minutes for the battery to charge 10-80 percent. In India this price will cost you approx 90 lakhs ex-showrooms.
2024 KIA Clavis
Kia Motors is also working on a new compact SUV. The company has also registered the name Kia Clavis for this upcoming car. It will be a sub 4-metre SUV, which will be positioned below the Kia Sonet in the segment.
Kia can launch its Kia Clavis in electric and ICE variants. A 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine can be found in the ICE version of this vehicle and In electric version it will give a range of up to 300 kilometers. The price of this compact SUV will be around 6 lakhs rupees.
