The biggest upgrade comes under the skin. Renault has introduced a new 67 kWh battery pack featuring advanced cell-to-pack technology. This improvement helps increase driving range to up to 311 miles (500 km WLTP) while also improving energy efficiency.

Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor generating approximately 215 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The powertrain is paired with front-wheel drive and delivers smooth acceleration along with responsive performance.

Renault claims the lightweight construction and low center of gravity contribute to better handling and driving dynamics. The electric hatchback is expected to offer an excellent balance of performance, comfort, and efficiency for everyday use.

The 2026 Megane E-Tech Electric comes loaded with modern technology and safety equipment. Renault has integrated Google’s latest software ecosystem along with voice assistance, connected services, and access to multiple applications through the infotainment system. The vehicle also supports over-the-air software updates, ensuring features remain current over time.

Charging performance has also improved considerably. The new battery supports DC fast charging up to 165 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 15% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes.

Safety features include multiple driver assistance systems such as lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and advanced parking assistance technologies.
