2027 Lexus NX: What’s New?

The biggest change for the 2027 Lexus NX comes under the hood. Lexus has removed the petrol-only powertrain and made the entire lineup electrified. Buyers can now choose between the NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. The NX 350h produces 244hp, while the NX 450h+ delivers 324hp. The plug-in hybrid also gets a revised lithium-ion battery with 8% higher output and capacity. Lexus estimates an electric-only range of 45 miles, or around 72km, for the NX 450h+. The PHEV also gains DC fast-charging capability as standard.

The exterior gets a sharper design with a new front-end treatment and updated lighting. Lexus has also introduced a new Double L rear-light design. The SUV retains its compact dimensions but gets a more modern appearance.

Inside, Lexus has made the 14-inch touchscreen standard across the lineup. It works with a 12.3-inch multi-information display. The cabin also gets an updated Lexus Interface system, dual Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in drive recorder and over-the-air updates. Lexus has also improved the suspension, steering, braking system and chassis rigidity. The new model gets Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 with expanded driver-assistance technology.

2027 Lexus NX Price and Rivals

Lexus has not announced the 2027 NX’s official pricing yet. The price should come closer to its market launch. The NX will compete with luxury SUVs such as the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3 and Volvo XC40. Its hybrid-only lineup will give it a distinct position in this segment.
