Triumph Motorcycles is revving up to reintroduce the RX and Moto2 variants of its popular Street Triple naked sports bike. These sportier versions once discontinued are making a comeback, according to filings with the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
Fans can expect aggressive styling, premium components, and performance-oriented tweaks that will sharpen the Street Triple’s identity. Whether you’re chasing track pedigree or street-fighter flair, Triumph looks set to deliver something that grabs attention.
So, lets know what are the features available in this bike.

What to Know: Triumph RX & Moto2 Returning
The Street Triple RX will be a sportier version of the standard model. Expected enhancements include clip-on handlebars, more aggressively placed footpegs, a machined top yoke, an Akrapovic exhaust system, and maybe an Ohlins SD EC electronic steering damper.
- The Moto2 edition was earlier offered in 2023-24 with standout features like a yellow paint scheme, carbon fiber body panels, clip-ons, and fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 front forks. For the comeback, there’s talk of adding a TTX36 rear monoshock for even better performance.
Technical & Performance Highlights
All variants share a 765cc inline-three engine. Power figures for the RS and Moto2 versions have been around 130 PS @ 12,000 rpm, torque about 80 Nm @ 9,500 rpm. The R variant gives slightly less peak power.
- Expect better handling and more responsive ride character. The RX and Moto2 trims may bring upgraded suspension, sharper chassis geometry, and premium brakes (e.g. Brembo Stylema in other editions) along with other riding aids.
Styling, Features & Electronics
Visually, the Moto2 version will likely revive its signature carbon-fiber panel work, exclusive livery (including the yellow scheme), and aggressive ergonomics. Clip-ons and lower front stance are expected to emphasize a track-oriented posture.
- Riding modes and electronics will be premium: look out for multiple ride-modes (Track, Sport, Rain, Custom), cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, shift assist or quick-shifter, maybe even lap timer, depending on variant.
Launch & India Prospects
The new RX and Moto2 editions are expected to be officially revealed at EICMA, the Milan motorcycle show, likely in November.
- There is a chance that one of these editions could be sold in India but likely in very limited numbers. Maintaining homologation, certification, and import costs will be key factors.
