The country’s largest automaker Maruti Suzuki is working on a new Maruti’s pickup truck for the Indian market, which will be based on the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
As per the information, It can be launched in the country next year. The company will sell this pickup truck through Nexa dealerships.
This truck will get a 5-seater cabin and 1.5-liter petrol engine will be able to compete with the Mahindra Bolero Camper.

The design of this truck will be similar to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny
Talking about the design, the length of this pickup truck can be 3850mm, width 1645mm and height 1730mm and its wheelbase will be 2550mm.
Apart from this, the look of the truck will be similar to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny launched in India few month ago.
It will get grille, muscular bonnet and round headlights as well as foglamps. Along with this, it will also have a blacked out B-pillars, ORVMs and alloy wheels can also added in this. The truck will also have all-LED lighting setup.
Maruti’s Pickup truck will be equipped with these features
The new pickup truck from Maruti can go with features like 7.0-inch infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto LED headlamps with high beam assist, auto climate control and cruise control.
For passenger safety, it will also get multiple airbags, antilock braking system (ABS), electronic stability program (ESP), seatbelts with pre-tensioner and force-limiter, traction control, hill hold and hill descent control.
Pickup truck will get 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine
This pickup truck can get a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder K15B petrol engine, which is capable of generating 101bhp power at 6,000rpm and 130Nm torque at 4,000rpm.
For your Information this is the same powertrain which is given in Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross and Ciaz.
For transmission, this engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. At the same time, the option of 4-speed automatic transmission can also be found in it.
Maruti’s Pickup Truck: Price and Availability
Information about the price and availability of this Maruti’s pickup truck in the Indian market will be given at the time of its launch. However, it is being speculated that its price may start from Rs 12 lakh.
