Ultraviolette X-47 New Base Variant Launched In India: Features, Specifications, and Price
Bengaluru-based EV startup Ultraviolette has expanded its premium electric motorcycle lineup by introducing a new entry-level variant of the Ultraviolette X-47 crossover bike. Simply named the X-47, this new base trim is launched at an attractive price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Designed for riders looking for high-performance electric mobility on a tighter budget, this variant lowers the entry price to the premium X-47 family. It makes the lineup more accessible while retaining the bike’s core performance and futuristic styling.
The Ultraviolette X-47 base model squares off against premium petrol-powered sports bikes and high-end EVs alike. It directly competes with its sibling, the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2, as well as alternatives like the OLA Roadster Pro and conventional sports commuters in the 300cc–400cc segments.
Ultraviolette X-47: Aerodynamic Styling and Urban Crossover Design
The new base variant keeps the same aggressive, fighter-jet-inspired design language as the rest of the X-47 family. It seamlessly combines a sharp, sports-bike-like front nose with a comfortable, upright riding position suitable for daily city commutes and weekend highway getaways.
The bike is built around a premium chassis and features sharp body extensions, premium color choices (Black, White, and Red), and standard 17-inch alloy wheels.
Even as a base model, it looks completely premium and handles bad urban roads with ease thanks to its high 200mm ground clearance.

Features: What is Included and What is Missing?
To bring the price down by Rs 15,000 compared to the X-47 Original variant, Ultraviolette has skipped its advanced Hypersense radar intelligence system. This means the base model does not get radar-assisted rider aids like:
Rear collision warning
Blind-spot detection
Lane change assist
Overtake alerts
However, the motorcycle is still loaded with premium technology. It continues to offer a 5-inch digital TFT display, three riding modes (Glide, Combat, and Ballistic), switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control, park assist, and hill-hold control.
Uncompromised Engine Performance and Range
While the electronic safety net is slightly reduced, the core powertrain remains untouched.
Motor: Powered by a 27 kW electric motor producing 36.2 hp and a massive 550 Nm of wheel torque.
Acceleration: Sprints from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
Top Speed: Hits an impressive top speed of 145 km/h.
Battery & Range: Equipped with a 7.1 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed IDC range of 211 km on a single charge, making it perfect for daily riding.
Pricing and Full Variant Lineup
With the addition of this new base trim, the Ultraviolette X-47 range now has a total of six variants in the Indian market.
| Variant | Ex-Showroom Price |
| X-47 (New Base) | Rs 2.49 Lakh |
| X-47 Original | Rs 2.64 Lakh |
| X-47 Original+ | Rs 3.09 Lakh |
| X-47 Recon | Rs 3.59 Lakh |
| X-47 Recon+ | Rs 4.09 Lakh |
| X-47 Desert Wing | Rs 4.59 Lakh |
(Note: Ultraviolette also offers a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, where the upfront cost drops further if you choose to lease the battery separately).
Ultraviolette X-47: Conclusion
By dropping the radar-based ADAS features, Ultraviolette has successfully created a raw, old-school, and highly capable electric performance machine at a more aggressive price point.
The new X-47 base variant stands as an incredibly attractive value proposition for enthusiast riders wanting top-tier electric performance without paying extra for complex tech safety nets.
