Hero Passion Plus Disc Launched At Rs 84,000; Gets Full Digital Instrument Cluster And New Features
Hero MotoCorp has expanded the Passion Plus lineup with the launch of the new Hero Passion Plus Disc variant in India.
Priced at Rs 84,000 (ex-showroom), the latest commuter motorcycle brings a front disc brake, a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, and several convenience features while retaining the trusted 97.2cc engine.
The update aims to attract buyers looking for a safer and more feature-rich daily commuter. With improved braking performance and modern technology, the new Passion Plus Disc strengthens Hero’s position in India’s highly competitive entry-level motorcycle segment.
Hero Passion Plus Disc: Familiar Design With Modern Technology
The Hero Passion Plus Disc continues with the familiar commuter-friendly styling that has made the motorcycle popular among Indian buyers.
It features a redesigned headlamp cowl, body-coloured front mudguard, stylish graphics, blacked-out engine, chrome-finished exhaust, alloy wheels, and a long single-piece seat for improved comfort.
The biggest update is the addition of a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, offering call alerts, SMS notifications, real-time mileage information, and service reminders. The motorcycle also gets an LED headlamp, USB charging port, and Hero’s i3S idle stop-start technology for added convenience.

Proven Engine Offers Smooth Performance And Excellent Mileage
Powering the new Hero Passion Plus Disc is the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, OBD-2B compliant petrol engine that develops 7.9 bhp of power and 8.05 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a smooth four-speed gearbox and is tuned for everyday city commuting.
Hero’s i3S technology helps improve fuel efficiency by automatically switching off the engine during traffic halts. The company claims an impressive mileage of around 70 kmpl, making the Passion Plus Disc one of the most fuel-efficient motorcycles in its segment.
Front Disc Brake Enhances Rider Safety
The biggest mechanical upgrade is the addition of a 240 mm front disc brake, replacing the drum setup available on the standard variant.
The rear continues with a drum brake, while Hero’s Integrated Braking System (IBS) improves braking stability by distributing braking force between both wheels.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, delivering a comfortable ride over city roads and rough patches. Lightweight construction and an upright riding position further enhance manoeuvrability in urban traffic.
