Yamaha Aerox-E Launched in India, Price Starts at Rs 2.82 lakh
Yamaha has launched its all new Yamaha Aerox-E electric scooter in the Indian market at starting price of Rs 2.82 lakh. Company has already showcased this EV last year along with Aerox 155. Currently, This is the most expensive Yamaha product on sale in India.
Aerox-E combines the familiar design of the petrol-powered Aerox 155 with an all-electric powertrain, modern connected features, and multiple riding modes.
With a claimed range of 117km, removable dual batteries, and performance-focused engineering, the new electric scooter aims to appeal to urban commuters looking for a premium and eco-friendly riding experience.
Features of Yamaha Aerox-E
The Yamaha Aerox-E retains the sporty design of the petrol-powered Aerox 155, featuring the same aggressive styling, twin LED headlights, and LED tail-light. However, it gets a more premium TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, replacing the LCD display offered on the petrol version.
The e-scooter also comes with Eco, Standard, and Power riding modes, along with a Boost mode that provides extra power for quick overtaking. Braking is handled by a front disc brake with ABS and a rear disc brake for improved safety.
Powering the Aerox-E are two removable 1.5kWh batteries paired with an electric motor that delivers 9.5kW (12.9hp) of peak power and 48Nm of torque.
Yamaha says the batteries use high-energy cells to offer better performance. The scooter has a claimed IDC-certified range of 117km on a full charge and weighs 139kg, which is around 13kg heavier than the standard Aerox 155.

Price of Yamaha Aerox-E
The vehicle is priced almost uniformly across major Indian cities, making it an attractive option for buyers nationwide. The ex-showroom price starts at Rs 2,81,600 in Bangalore and Delhi, while customers in Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai will pay a slightly higher Rs 2,82,390.
The marginal price difference is mainly due to local taxes and state-level charges. Overall, the pricing remains competitive across all five cities, ensuring minimal variation for prospective buyers.
