Hyundai Motor India July 2026 Sales: Total Dispatches Cross 75,000 Units for the First Time
Hyundai Motor India has achieved a new sales milestone by reporting its highest-ever monthly dispatches in July 2026. The automaker sold a total of 75,360 vehicles, including domestic sales and exports, marking the first time it has crossed the 75,000-unit monthly sales mark.
The strong performance was supported by robust domestic demand, record export volumes, and healthy sales of key models such as the Creta and i20. The company also began the second quarter of FY2026-27 on a positive note after overcoming production challenges faced in the previous month.
Domestic Sales Register Record July Performance
Hyundai dispatched 54,210 vehicles in the Indian market during July 2026, compared to 43,973 units sold in the same month last year. This represents a 23.28% year-on-year growth, making it the company’s highest-ever domestic sales for the month of July.
On a month-on-month basis, domestic sales witnessed a significant jump of 36.77% from 39,635 units recorded in June 2026. The company attributed June’s relatively lower volumes to temporary production constraints caused by a fire at one of its supplier facilities. With operations returning to normal, Hyundai successfully ramped up production in July.
Creta and i20 Continue to Drive Demand
Among Hyundai’s product lineup, the Creta remained the company’s best-selling SUV, recording its highest monthly sales of calendar year 2026 with 18,088 units sold during July.
The premium hatchback i20 also delivered its strongest monthly performance this year, with 6,738 units sold, reflecting continued customer interest in Hyundai’s premium hatchback offering.
Exports Reach Highest Level in More Than Eight Years
Exports continued to play a crucial role in Hyundai’s overall performance. The company shipped 21,150 vehicles to international markets in July 2026, compared to 16,100 units in July 2025, registering a 31.37% year-on-year increase.
According to Hyundai, this is its highest monthly export volume in over 100 months, reinforcing India’s growing importance as a global manufacturing and export hub for the brand.
Commenting on the performance, Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg said the company has started the new quarter on a strong note, with record total sales reflecting growing customer confidence in the Hyundai brand. He added that exports crossing the 21,000-unit mark further strengthen the company’s “Make in India, Made for the World” strategy.
New SUVs and EVs in the Pipeline
Hyundai is preparing for an aggressive product rollout during the current financial year. The company is expected to introduce a new Bayon-based midsize SUV, which will rival models in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. The upcoming SUV is likely to be offered with petrol, diesel, and factory-fitted CNG powertrain options.
In addition, Hyundai is developing a new sub-4 metre electric SUV, expected to compete with the Tata Nexon EV and other compact electric SUVs. The company is also working on the next-generation Creta, which is expected to feature significant updates in styling, technology, and powertrain options.
With record-breaking sales, strong export momentum, and multiple new product launches lined up, Hyundai Motor India appears well-positioned to maintain its growth trajectory in both the domestic and international markets throughout FY2026-27.
