MG Majestor Price Increased by Rs 1.5 Lakh in India
MG Motor has increased the price of its flagship SUV, the MG Majestor, in India. This is the first price revision since the SUV was launched earlier this year.
The update affects the entry-level 4×2 Savvy variant, while the top-spec 4×4 Savvy continues at the same price. Despite the hike, the Majestor remains one of the most feature-loaded premium SUVs in its segment.
MG Majestor Price Hiked
The MG Majestor 4×2 Savvy now carries a price tag of Rs 42.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier, the variant was available at an introductory price of Rs 40.99 lakh, which included a launch discount. This means the effective price has increased by Rs 1.5 lakh.
The 4×4 Savvy variant, however, continues to be priced at Rs 44.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with no changes.
Engine and Off-Road Capability
Powering the MG Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 212.5 hp and 478.5 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
For buyers who enjoy off-road driving, the SUV offers a four-wheel-drive system, multiple terrain modes, three differential locks, and a low-range transfer case, making it capable of handling challenging conditions.
Premium Features
The MG Majestor comes equipped with several luxury features. It offers massaging front seats, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12-speaker JBL audio system.
Other highlights include dual wireless phone chargers, 64-colour ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control, and a premium cabin designed for long-distance comfort.
Dimensions and Seating Options
The MG Majestor is among the biggest SUVs available in India. It measures 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase.
Customers can choose between six-seat and seven-seat layouts, making it suitable for both family use and premium travel.
Should Buyers Be Concerned?
Although the entry-level variant has become more expensive, the MG Majestor continues to offer a strong mix of performance, luxury, and off-road capability. With its long equipment list and powerful diesel engine, it remains a competitive option in India’s premium full-size SUV segment.
