JSW Combat to Debut on December 3: What to Expect From This New Plug-in Hybrid SUV
JSW Motors is preparing to enter India’s passenger vehicle market with its first SUV, the JSW Combat. The new SUV will make its India debut on December 3, 2026, marking an important step for JSW Group’s standalone automotive business.
The Combat is based on the Chery-owned Jetour T2 and will arrive as a five-seat plug-in hybrid SUV. JSW plans to assemble the SUV in India and is expected to offer it with a rugged design, strong hybrid performance and a long driving range.
The Combat will also become one of the few plug-in hybrid SUVs in its expected price segment.

JSW Combat: Expected Design
The JSW Combat is expected to retain most of the rugged design seen on the international Jetour T2. The SUV will feature a boxy silhouette, upright proportions and a muscular stance. Previous spy images indicate that JSW could make small styling changes to distinguish its version from the donor SUV. These changes are expected to include revised headlights and front and rear bumpers, along with JSW branding.
The SUV is also expected to feature 20-inch alloy wheels, large wheel-arch cladding, roof rails and vertically positioned LED tail-lamps. A spare wheel mounted on the tailgate should further strengthen its rugged SUV appearance.
JSW Combat: Expected Powertrain
The Combat will use a plug-in hybrid powertrain based around a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The expected setup combines the petrol engine with two electric motors and an 18.4kWh battery pack. A dedicated hybrid transmission will manage the power delivery.
The international setup produces around 360hp and 610Nm, while the India-spec output could vary. The system is expected to drive the front wheels, although JSW has not officially confirmed the final India-spec configuration.
The SUV could offer around 90km of claimed electric-only range, while the combined petrol-electric range could reach up to 1,100km under the reported test cycle.
JSW Combat: Expected Cabin and Features
The five-seat Combat is expected to carry over much of the Jetour T2’s modern cabin layout. The dashboard could feature a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 10.25-inch digital driver display. JSW branding will replace the Jetour logos.
The expected feature list includes powered front seats, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof and a premium 12-speaker Sony audio system. Safety equipment could include six airbags, a 360-degree camera with an underbody view and Level 2 ADAS. The India-spec SUV could also receive connected-car technology and other features tailored for local customers.

JSW Combat: Expected Price and Launch
The JSW Combat will debut in India on December 3, 2026. JSW is expected to price the SUV between Rs. 30 lakh and Rs. 50 lakh ex-showroom, although the final price will arrive with the launch.
