Updated Toyota Innova Hycross Launched in Indonesia With 12.3-Inch Screens, Wi-Fi and DVR

Toyota has introduced an updated version of the Toyota Innova Hycross in Indonesia, where the MPV carries the Kijang Innova Zenix name. The latest update brings several new technology and convenience features, including a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a larger digital instrument cluster, in-car Wi-Fi and a dual-channel dashcam with DVR function.

The Indonesian model also gets a 360-degree camera and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat on selected variants. These updates are important for Indian buyers because Toyota plans to launch the Innova Hycross facelift in India on November 26, 2026.

Several features from the Indonesian model could also reach the India-spec facelift.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Design

The updated Toyota Innova Zenix retains the overall design and monocoque body of the existing model. Toyota has focused mainly on equipment upgrades rather than major exterior changes.

The Indonesian lineup also gets a Modellista version based on the V Hybrid variant. This version adds front splitters, side body cladding and side steps for a more distinctive appearance. The standard model continues with the familiar MPV silhouette, LED lighting and large alloy wheels.

Toyota has not revealed major changes to the exterior design of the updated Indonesian model. However, the India-spec Innova Hycross facelift could get a more noticeable front-end revision, including a wider grille, redesigned LED headlamps and new alloy wheels.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Powertrain

The updated Toyota Innova Zenix continues with the existing 2.0-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine in Indonesia. The petrol engine produces 174 PS and 205 Nm and works with a CVT. Toyota also continues to offer a self-charging hybrid powertrain based around the same 2.0-litre petrol engine.

The hybrid system uses an electrified setup and a nickel-based lithium-ion battery. The Innova Zenix uses front-wheel drive. Toyota has not made major mechanical changes with this update.

The India-spec Innova Hycross facelift is also expected to retain the existing 2.0-litre petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains. An E85 flex-fuel version could also arrive in India, although Toyota has yet to confirm final details.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Cabin

The cabin gets the biggest changes in the updated Toyota Innova Zenix. Selected variants now feature a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with in-car Wi-Fi. Hybrid variants also get a 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, while non-hybrid V and G variants receive a new 7-inch TFT instrument display.

Toyota has also added a 360-degree camera, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, power-folding ORVMs, updated telematics and a dual-channel dashcam with DVR function, depending on the variant.

However, Toyota has removed the rear-seat entertainment system and wireless charger from some versions. The 12.3-inch infotainment system and larger driver display could also feature on the India-spec Innova Hycross facelift.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Price and Rivals

The updated Indonesian Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid range starts at IDR 475 million, around Rs. 24.87 lakh, while the V Hybrid variant starts at IDR 517 million, around Rs. 27.05 lakh. These are Jakarta on-road prices. In India, the upcoming Innova Hycross facelift is expected to compete with the Kia Carnival and other premium family MPVs.
