BMW Motorrad is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated BMW F 450 GS in India by the end of 2025. Unveiled as a concept at EICMA 2024 and showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo, the F 450 GS has been spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads, indicating its imminent arrival .
As per the media reports this will bring the a new era for mid-weight adventure motorcycles. So, lets dive deep into the details of this upcoming bike.

BMW F 450 GS: Design
Drawing inspiration from its larger sibling, the R 1300 GS, the F 450 GS boasts a rugged adventure-ready design. Key elements include a tall beak, a prominent windscreen, and a sculpted fuel tank.
The test mule features alloy wheels—19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear—suggesting potential variant options for different terrains.

BMW F 450 GS: Engine and Performance
At the heart of the F 450 GS lies a newly developed 450cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine, delivering approximately 48 horsepower. This engine is designed for both city commutes and long-distance touring, offering a balance of performance and efficiency.

Talking about the other features upcoming F 450 GS will be equipped with a host of modern features such as Digital TFT Instrument Cluster (Provides clear and comprehensive ride information), LED Lighting (Full LED setup for enhanced visibility), Bluetooth Connectivity (Seamless integration with smartphones for navigation and calls), Adjustable Suspension (Tailored ride comfort across various terrains), and Electronic Rider Aids (Including ABS and traction control for improved safety).

BMW F 450 GS: Manufacturing and Pricing
The F 450 GS will be manufactured at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur facility, leveraging the existing partnership between BMW and TVS. This local production is expected to keep the pricing competitive, with estimates ranging between ₹4.0 lakh and ₹4.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Positioned as a successor to the discontinued G 310 GS, the F 450 GS will serve as BMW’s new entry-level adventure offering in India. It is set to compete with models like the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and Honda NX500, aiming to capture the growing mid-weight adventure bike segment.
