BMW Motorrad has officially teased the updated version of its radical electric scooter, the BMW CE 04, ahead of its global debut scheduled for July 5, 2025.
The teaser, shared across the brand’s social media platforms, hints at subtle yet stylish updates to the already futuristic-looking urban mobility machine.
So, lets know about this in detail.

What’s New in the BMW CE 04 Teaser?
While the teaser doesn’t reveal much in terms of mechanical upgrades, it does showcase a new matte blue paint scheme with fluorescent accents, suggesting a refreshed aesthetic direction.
The side panel featuring the CE 04 badging hints at a possible design tweak, though it remains unclear whether this is a full redesign or just a cosmetic update.
BMW CE 04: Powertrain and Performance
The current BMW CE 04 is powered by an 8.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, paired with a liquid-cooled permanent magnet motor a rarity in the Indian EV space.
This setup delivers a peak power output of 31 kW (42 hp) and 62 Nm of torque, enabling a claimed range of 130 km on a single charge. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a belt final drive, ensuring smooth and quiet operation.
BMW CE 04: Global Launch First
BMW Motorrad has confirmed that the updated CE 04 will debut globally on July 5, with an India launch expected shortly after.
However, unlike the locally manufactured CE 02 (built by TVS), the CE 04 continues to be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
This results in a steep ex-showroom price of ₹14.90 lakh, making it one of the most premium electric scooters available in the country.
Why BMW CE 04 Matters?
The CE 04 isn’t just a scooter—it’s a statement of futuristic urban mobility. With its sci-fi-inspired design, premium build, and advanced tech, it targets a niche audience that values innovation and exclusivity.
The upcoming update, even if minor, reinforces BMW’s commitment to evolving its electric mobility portfolio.
