Bentley’s First EV Torcal Revealed: What’s New?
Bentley is preparing for a new chapter with its first fully electric vehicle, codenamed Torcal. The luxury SUV will mark the beginning of Bentley’s transition towards an all-electric future.
Torcal has been built on the Volkswagen Group’s advanced PPE platform. It is a blend of luxury, performance, and cutting-edge technology. It is expected to offer long driving range, ultra-fast charging, and a handcrafted interior that stays true to Bentley’s heritage.
The upcoming EV will compete with the world’s best luxury electric SUVs and is expected to make its global debut in 2026 before reaching customers in 2027.

Bentley Torcal: Design and Dimensions
The Bentley Torcal is expected to feature a modern SUV design while retaining the brand’s signature styling cues. It will have a bold front fascia, slim LED headlamps, an illuminated grille, muscular body lines, and large alloy wheels.
The SUV is likely to be slightly smaller than the Bentayga but will offer a spacious cabin thanks to its dedicated electric platform. Flush door handles, aerodynamic elements, and a sporty roofline are also expected to improve efficiency and enhance its premium appearance.
Bentley Torcal Powertrain
Bentley will build the Torcal on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture developed with Audi. The SUV is expected to feature dual electric motors with all-wheel drive as standard.
Power output could exceed 600 hp, allowing strong acceleration and effortless highway performance. The battery pack is expected to deliver a driving range of over 600 km on a single charge.
Ultra-fast DC charging capability may allow the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in around 20 minutes under ideal conditions.
Bentley Torcal: Cabin
The Torcal’s interior is expected to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern digital technology. Buyers can expect premium leather upholstery, sustainable materials, handcrafted wood veneers, and metal accents throughout the cabin.
A large infotainment display, fully digital instrument cluster, connected car technology, over-the-air software updates, and a premium audio system are also expected.
The spacious cabin will provide exceptional comfort with electrically adjustable seats, ambient lighting, and advanced climate control features.

If Bentley successfully combines luxury, technology, and long-range capability, the Torcal could redefine expectations for ultra-luxury electric SUVs.
It also signals how quickly the premium automotive industry is moving toward a fully electric future while maintaining its distinctive brand identity.
