German automaker BMW has finally unveiled its all-new BMW i3 electric sedan for the Indian market. This new i3 also previews the next-generation BMW 3 Series. The electric sedan is designed based on the company’s latest Neue Klasse design language.
This is a high-performance electric car from BMW, offering an impressive range of around 900–950 km, which is higher than the iX3. As per reports, the company is planning to launch this electric car in India by 2027.
So, let’s take a look at the features offered in the latest BMW i3 electric sedan.

BMW i3 electric sedan: Design

Apart from this it has been equipped with black-out A,B and C-pillars. It also has vertical air intakes that are accented with gloss black trim.
Interestingly, the i3’s side profile stays closer to a traditional three-box design, which BMW calls a “2.5-box” layout, instead of the curved and flowing shapes seen in many electric sedans.
The body panels look clean and smooth, with retractable door handles adding to the sleek look. The stylish alloy wheels also fit neatly into the wheel arches, giving it a well-balanced stance.
BMW i3 electric sedan: Powertrain
BMW i3 electric sedan comes equipped with a dual-motor ’50 xDrive’ powertrain. BMW doesn’t specify the i3 50 xDrive’s battery capacity, but it’s likely the same 108.7kWh battery pack as that of the iX3. System output stands at 469hp and 645Nm, and the WLTP-tested range is a whopping 900km – 95km higher than the iX3.

BMW i3 electric sedan: Cabin
The cabin of the new i3 follows a modern and minimalistic design, focusing heavily on digital elements and advanced technology.
It features a uniquely designed steering wheel along with a large infotainment touchscreen and a wide panoramic display that stretches across the dashboard, serving as both the driver’s display and an information hub.
Physical buttons are kept to a minimum, with only essential controls placed on the central tunnel, including functions for hazard lights, defoggers, parking brake, and audio.
In terms of features, the i3 comes well-equipped with powered front seats, ambient lighting, Level 2 ADAS, wireless charging, and a new AI-based assistant.
It also offers an optional 3D head-up display, enhancing the overall driving experience with a strong focus on comfort and technology.
