Bovensiepen Unveils Exclusive 99-Unit Spider Based on BMW Z4 M40i
Bovensiepen has officially unveiled an ultra-exclusive coachbuilt Spider based on the BMW Z4 M40i platform. The boutique vehicle maker will restrict global production to just 99 units worldwide.
This limited-run roadster combines bespoke styling with enhanced mechanical performance. It targets automotive collectors who seek custom design paired with reliable modern engineering.
BMW Z4 M40i: Exterior Design and Bodywork
The Bovensiepen Spider features lightweight carbon-fibre body panels that transform the exterior appearance of the donor BMW Z4 M40i. Up front, it sports a redesigned grille, custom bumper intakes, and restyled lighting clusters.
The rear section receives speedster-style headrest humps, a bespoke rear diffuser, and unique forged alloy wheels that elevate its road presence.
Powertrain and Performance
Under the bonnet, the Spider keeps the Z4 M40i’s 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine. However, Bovensiepen engineers tuned the engine to produce higher power output and sharper throttle response. Paired with a recalibrated sports suspension and an upgraded performance exhaust system, the vehicle delivers an engaging driving dynamic.
Interior and Customization
Inside the cabin, Bovensiepen provides high levels of personalization. Craftsmen use hand-stitched leather upholstery, custom carbon trim accents, and bespoke sports seating. Each car features an individually numbered badge on the center console, identifying its specific build number out of the 99 units.
BMW Z4 M40i: Exclusivity and Market Positioning
With extreme production limits, the Bovensiepen Spider targets high-end luxury car collectors. By fusing traditional coachbuilding craftsmanship with modern sports car underpinnings, the company offers a distinctive alternative to mass-market luxury convertibles.
