World’s largest electric car company BYD has already enterd in India and selling various model for the Indian customers. As per the reports company is preparing to launch its new cheapest model in India.
Recently, BYD Atto 2 has been spotted during testing on the Indian road and we are expecting that company will launch this car in late 2025 and it will be placed below the Atto 3 in the segment.
So, lets know what are the features available in this upcoming SUV.
BYD Atto 2: Design and Design
The BYD Atto 2 carries a smart, modern design language that blends practicality with a hint of premium appeal, making it a compelling choice for urban EV buyers.
It will be around 4.3 metres in length. Its slightly elevated stance and short overhangs create a well-balanced, SUV-like presence.
Also, the front design is clean and sophisticated, featuring slim LED headlamps integrated into BYD’s signature ‘Dragon Face’ design philosophy. The sleek daytime running lights and a closed-off grille give the EV a futuristic look, while the sculpted bonnet and sharp character lines add visual interest without overdoing it.

A blacked-out roof with a subtle floating effect, flush-fitting door handles, and aero-optimized alloy wheels all contribute to its aerodynamic and tech-forward profile.
At the rear, the Atto 2 makes a more expressive statement. A full-width LED light bar merges seamlessly into stylish taillights designed in a traditional Chinese ‘knot’ pattern, symbolizing unity and harmony.
This, along with the integrated roof spoiler and a silver-finished rear bumper skid plate, gives the Atto 2 a sporty yet elegant rear end that stands out without being loud.
The exterior color options, paired with subtle chrome and black accents, further enhance its upscale appeal.

BYD Atto 2: Powertrain
The BYD Atto 2 is powered by a front-mounted electric motor paired with BYD’s advanced Blade Battery technology. It is expected to offer multiple power outputs, with variants producing between 70 kW to 150 kW, depending on the market.
The Atto 2 is likely to deliver a driving range of around 400 to 450 km (CLTC cycle), making it ideal for daily urban use and occasional long drives. Fast charging support ensures added convenience for modern EV buyers.
