Triumph Motorcycle has launched its all new Triumph Thruxton 400 in the Indian market and this cafe racer bike has been designed with the collaboration of Bajaj Auto.

It has been launched at the starting price of Rs 2.74 lakh ex-showroom. The motorcycle revives the legendary Thruxton name in a more accessible 400cc package with attractive design.

With the launch of the new Thruxton, Triumph aims to revolutionize the 400cc segment in the Indian market. While this space is already crowded with multiple options, the big question is, can this cafe racer emerge as the real game changer?

Racing Legacy of the Thruxton Name

The Thruxton name dates back to the 1960s when Triumph dominated the Thruxton 500-mile endurance race at the Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire, UK.

Over the decades, the name returned with iconic models like the Thruxton 900 (2004) and the high-performance Thruxton 1200 & Thruxton R (2016).

Now, The new Thruxton 400 carries forward that same spirit, now in a more accessible mid-capacity format.

This bike has been equipped with Signature front fairing with aerodynamic lines, Sculpted fuel tank with knee recesses, Clip-on handlebars and rear-set foot pegs for an aggressive riding position, Short tail section and retro-modern paint schemes.

Apart from this bike has circular LED lighting setup, new design for the alloy wheels, split style seat, golden colored exhaust system, muscular windscreen to protect riders from the wind blast.

The latest Thruxton has been equipped with a 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder TR-series engine. This engine generates maximum power of 42 bhp and a peak torque of 37.5 Nm. It’s paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features a slip/assist clutch for smoother gear shifts.

Also, this bike has been disc brake at the front and rear end with Antilock Braking System. It’s suspension duties has been handled by inverted front forks and monoshock unit at the rear end.
