Honda 0 Alpha EV Spied In Manali With Massive Touchscreen; India-Bound Electric SUV Reveals More Cabin Details

Honda Cars India has intensified testing of its upcoming Honda 0 Alpha EV, with the latest prototype spotted in Manali during high-altitude validation.

The fresh spy images provide the clearest look yet at the SUV’s interior, revealing a large landscape-oriented touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.

Based on Honda’s futuristic 0 Series platform, the electric SUV is expected to be manufactured in India for both domestic sales and exports.

Scheduled for launch in 2027, the Honda 0 Alpha will play a key role in the brand’s electrification strategy and take on premium midsize electric SUVs in the country.

Honda 0 Alpha Design Inspired By Honda’s 0 Series

Although the prototype remains heavily camouflaged, several design elements are now clearly visible. The Honda 0 Alpha retains its upright stance, boxy proportions, and minimalist styling inspired by the global concept showcased earlier.

The front features slim rectangular LED lighting connected by a black trim panel, while the rear gets vertically stacked LED tail lamps and a clean tailgate design. A tall roofline, large glass area, and aerodynamic profile suggest Honda is prioritising cabin space alongside efficiency.

The production model is expected to measure around 4.5 metres in length, placing it in the premium midsize electric SUV segment.

Massive Touchscreen Hints At A Tech-Loaded Cabin

The biggest highlight of the latest spy shots is the cabin. The prototype features a large freestanding landscape touchscreen, noticeably bigger than those found in Honda’s current India lineup.

It is expected to support wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, connected car technology, navigation, OTA updates, and EV-specific functions.

A fully digital instrument cluster sits behind a newly designed multifunction steering wheel, while the dashboard follows a clean and minimalist layout. Physical climate control buttons are also likely to be retained for ease of use.

Electric Powertrain And Expected Performance

Honda has not yet revealed technical specifications of the production-ready 0 Alpha EV. However, the SUV is expected to be built on Honda’s next-generation dedicated EV architecture with a high-capacity battery pack offering a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge.

Fast-charging capability, multiple regenerative braking modes, and advanced battery management systems are also anticipated.

Positioned as Honda’s flagship electric SUV for India, the 0 Alpha will focus on refined performance, efficiency, and long-distance usability rather than outright acceleration.
