JSW Chery eSUV Spotted Testing at Charging Station, Patent Filed in India

The upcoming JSW Chery eSUV has once again attracted attention in India after a test vehicle was spotted at a charging station. The sighting comes at a time when JSW Chery is preparing to expand its presence in the Indian electric vehicle market.

The company has also filed a patent for the model in India, adding more weight to its plans for the market. However, Chery and JSW have not yet revealed complete details about the upcoming electric SUV.

The latest development suggests that the model could be moving closer to its India debut, although the launch timeline remains unclear.

Expected Design Features of the JSW Chery eSUV

The upcoming JSW Chery eSUV is based on the Chery iCaur V23 and follows a boxy, upright design. The India-spec model appears largely similar to the international version, but the patent images show some changes.

It gets circular LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a revised closed-off front grille and a chunky bumper. The side profile features flared wheel arches, side steps and a squared-off roofline.

The patent images also show a different alloy wheel design and a rectangular element between the C- and D-pillars. The rear largely retains the global model’s design.

The iCaur V23 measures around 4,220mm in length, 1,910mm in width and 1,845mm in height, with a 2,735mm wheelbase. These dimensions give the SUV its tall and upright stance. However, JSW Motors has not yet officially confirmed the final specifications or dimensions of the India-spec model.

Expected Price and Rivals
