Kia India is set to open bookings for its first mass-market electric MPV Kia Carens Clavis EV from 22nd July 2025. Company has launched this MPV earlier at starting price of Rs. 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Clavis EV blends futuristic design, spacious 7-seater practicality, and advanced tech like dual 12.3-inch displays and Level 2 ADAS. This car will give range of approx 490 km range, fast charging, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, it marks a bold step in Kia’s electric mobility journey tailored for Indian families.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Design and Dimension
Kia Carens Clavis EV sports a sleek, modern MPV silhouette with EV-specific styling cues. It features a blanked-off front grille, triangular LED headlamps, and a full-width LED light bar for a futuristic touch.
It also has aero-optimized 17-inch alloy wheels enhance efficiency, while connected LED tail lamps and a reworked rear bumper add visual flair.
The front-mounted charging port and subtle EV badging distinguish it from its ICE sibling. Overall, the design blends practicality with a bold, electric-forward identity.
Clavis EV measures 4,540 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,708 mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 2,780 mm and ground clearance of 200 mm. These dimensions position it as a spacious and practical electric MPV, ideal for urban families and long-distance travel alike.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Powertrain
The Kia Carens Clavis EV offers two powertrain options: a 99 kW motor paired with a 42 kWh battery delivering 404 km range, and a more powerful 126 kW motor mated to a 51.4 kWh battery offering up to 490 km on a single charge. Both variants produce 255 Nm of torque.
It has front Charging port with LED illumination and support 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10–80% top-up in just 39 minutes. The setup ensures smooth performance, efficient energy use, and practical long-distance capability.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Cabin and Safety features
The Kia Carens Clavis EV features a dual-tone cabin with floating center console, twin 12.3-inch panoramic displays, and a two-spoke steering wheel for a modern, tech-forward feel. Safety is robust, offering six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, and tyre pressure monitoring as standard.
Higher variants include Level 2 ADAS with lane-keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring. A 360-degree camera, rear occupant alert, and V2L tech add convenience and protection, making it a smart family-friendly electric MPV.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Pricing
Kia has launched the Carens Clavis EV in India with prices starting at Rs. 17.99 lakh and going up to Rs. 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant and battery pack.
Clavis EV enters a unique segment but faces competition from MG ZS EV, BYD eMax 7, Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE 6, and Maruti e-Vitara.
