The Kia Syros EV looks almost identical to the regular petrol and diesel Syros. The biggest change on the outside is the charging port, which is now placed on the front fender instead of the fuel cap at the rear.

Apart from this, the EV keeps the same LED headlights and taillights, rugged body cladding, redesigned bumpers, and 17-inch alloy wheels as the ICE model.

Kia is offering the Syros EV in nine attractive colour options, while the top-spec X-Line variant gets two exclusive paint finishes.

Kia Syros EV Cabin and Features

Inside, the Kia Syros EV offers a modern and feature-packed cabin. It comes with a Trinity Panoramic Display, which includes a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 5-inch climate control screen.

Other key features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, powered and ventilated front seats, and sliding, reclining, and ventilated rear seats.

The EV also gets a 16-litre front storage space (frunk) and several safety features such as Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, front parking sensors, and an electronic parking brake.

Powertrain of Kia Syros EV

The Kia Syros EV comes with two battery pack options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh. According to Kia, the larger battery offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km, while the smaller battery delivers up to 443 km on a single charge.

The EV is powered by a front-mounted electric motor, with the 51.4kWh version producing 171 hp and 255 Nm of torque, while the 42kWh variant generates 135 hp and 255 Nm. The larger battery model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds, making it one of the quickest electric SUVs in its segment.

Kia is offering the Syros EV with 7.4kW and 11kW AC home charger options. Using the 7.4kW charger, the 42kWh battery takes around 6 hours for a full charge, while the 51.4kWh battery requires about 7 hours and 15 minutes.

With a 100kW DC fast charger, the larger battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. The Syros EV will be offered in five variants – HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and X-Line. The smaller battery pack will be available in the lower variants, while the larger battery will be offered in the higher trims.

Price and Availability

While the company has not yet announced the official prices, the electric SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and battery pack.
