Mahindra August 2026 Sales Report: SUV Sales Jump 50% to 59,257 Units
Mahindra & Mahindra recorded strong sales growth in August 2026, led by robust demand for its SUV portfolio. The automaker sold 1,07,648 vehicles in total, including exports, registering a 42% year-on-year growth over the same month last year.
Mahindra’s SUV business remained the biggest growth driver. The company sold 59,257 SUVs in the domestic market in August 2026, marking a massive 50% YoY increase from 39,399 units in August 2025.
Including exports, Mahindra’s utility vehicle sales stood at 61,167 units during the month. The company attributed the strong performance to continued demand across its SUV range, with the updated Scorpio-N and BE 6 SPORTEQ receiving a strong response from customers.
The SUV portfolio continues to be central to Mahindra’s growth strategy in India, with models such as the Scorpio-N, Thar, XUV 3XO, XUV700 and BE 6 competing across multiple segments.
Mahindra Commercial Vehicle Sales
Mahindra also recorded healthy growth in its commercial vehicle business. Domestic commercial vehicle sales reached 27,415 units in August 2026, representing a 22% YoY increase.
The company’s trucks and buses business, including Mahindra Truck & Bus Division and SML Mahindra, recorded 2,495 units, up 47% year on year.
Mahindra Tractor Sales August 2026
Mahindra’s farm equipment business sold 27,595 tractors in the domestic market, registering 5% YoY growth. Total tractor sales, including exports, increased 5% to 29,507 units.
Improving rainfall, stronger Kharif sowing and government support helped improve rural sentiment during the month.

Mahindra Sales Outlook
Mahindra enters the festive season with strong momentum across SUVs, commercial vehicles and tractors. The Mahindra August 2026 sales report highlights particularly strong SUV demand, with domestic SUV sales growing 50%. With festive demand expected to strengthen, Mahindra could maintain its sales momentum in the coming months.
