Mahindra Thar Facelift Coming Soon in India: New Design and Features Expected
Mahindra is preparing another update for the Thar 3-door SUV in India. The upcoming Mahindra Thar facelift has appeared in multiple test sightings, suggesting that the company is working on a more substantial refresh.
The Thar remains one of Mahindra’s key lifestyle SUVs and continues to attract buyers looking for an off-road-focused vehicle. Mahindra has not yet revealed the official launch date for the updated model. More details are expected to emerge as testing continues on Indian roads.

Expected Features of the Mahindra Thar Facelift
The upcoming Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift is expected to bring several styling and feature updates. At the front, the SUV could get a redesigned grille, revised headlamps and an updated bumper, with some elements inspired by the larger Thar Roxx.
The test models have also shown new alloy wheel designs, with 19-inch wheels expected on higher variants. Inside, Mahindra could add a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, wireless charging and an electronic parking brake. Other expected upgrades include an auto-dimming IRVM, auto-folding ORVMs, keyless entry and push-button start.
The major engine and gearbox changes are not expected in the upcoming Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift. Recent reports say Mahindra will largely carry over the existing powertrain lineup.
Higher variants could also get Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera. The existing petrol and diesel engines are expected to continue, along with manual and automatic gearbox options.
