Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara with ADAS in works, to be launched soon

The country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is working on its mid-size SUV Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara with Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS).

It is likely to be launched in March next year. Due to the introduction of ADAS technology in the latest cars of other companies, the company has to take this step to compete with them. Maruti Grand Vitara will be the first car from Maruti to get this technology.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: looks

According to Moneycontrol report, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will get Level-2 ADAS facility. ADAS is a suite of electronic functions designed to improve the safety of the driver, passengers, and pedestrians. It has been added to new cars with the aim of reducing accidents.

Level-2 ADAS can handle steering, acceleration and braking in some situations. Maruti is in discussion with ICAT for its testing on the Manesar track.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: features

This variant of Grand Vitara will be manufactured by Toyota at its plant in Karnataka, where it is already produced.
According to sources, Toyota is also preparing to launch its Highrider by equipping it with ADAS.

The Grand Vitara with ADAS is expected to be priced Rs 50,000-75,000 more expensive than the top-end trims of the Smart Hybrid and Strong Hybrid variants.

The price of its top variant is Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
