Features of BMW F 450 RR
The BMW F 450 RR features an aggressive design inspired by the S 1000 RR. Its full fairing, aerodynamic winglets, asymmetric side panels, integrated gills and sharp LED headlight give it a distinctive supersport appearance. The motorcycle gets clip-on handlebars, a sculpted fuel tank and a raised rear section. Its standard seat height measures 790 mm, while optional seats offer heights of 775 mm and 810 mm. The motorcycle weighs 177 kg in running order, or 178 kg with the optional Easy Ride Clutch.
Power comes from a 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. A six-speed gearbox sends power to the rear wheel. BMW claims a 0–100 kmph acceleration time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 177 kmph. The company also claims fuel efficiency of 26.3 kmpl.
For suspension, the F 450 RR gets a 43 mm KYB upside-down front fork and a rear shock with adjustable preload and rebound damping. The braking setup includes a 310 mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a ByBre caliper. Standard safety features include ABS Pro, traction control, Dynamic Brake Control and three riding modes: Rain, Road and Race.
