Mahindra’s company is gearing up to launch its Mahindra XUV facelift in Indian market. This will be the first major facelift since its 2021 debut.
In the recent development this car has been spied testing in the Indian roads and the spy shots have revealed key design updates, hinting at a more premium and tech-forward iteration.
While the official launch is expected in early 2026, here’s what we know so far about the refreshed SUV’s design, cabin, powertrain, and expected pricing.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift: Sharper Design with New Headlights and Alloys
The camouflaged test mules of the Mahindra XUV700 Facelift reveal a reworked front fascia, featuring sleeker production-spec LED headlights with distinct chambers for low and high beams which is likely housing projector units.
The LED DRLs are expected to adopt a more streamlined signature, replacing the current C-shaped design.
The front grille has also been revised with more angular slats, giving the SUV a bolder stance. While the side and rear profiles remain largely unchanged, the facelift introduces new alloy wheel designs, possibly differentiated by drivetrain (FWD vs AWD) or trim level. Expect 18-inch wheels as standard, with 19-inch options likely for higher variants.
No Mechanical Changes Expected
Under the hood, Mahindra is expected to continue with the proven engine lineup:
First this car will be equipped with 2.0L Turbo Petrol engine. This engine produce maximum power of 197 bhp, and peak torque of 380 Nm.
Also, this car will be equipped with 2.2L Turbo Diesel, which generates maximum power of 182 bhp and peak torque of 450 Nm.
Both engines will be offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions, along with an optional AWD setup for select diesel variants.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift: Triple-Screen Setup and Premium Touches
Inside the Mahindra XUV700 Facelift company may introduce a triple-screen dashboard, inspired by Mahindra’s XEV 9e.
This includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, A central infotainment touchscreen, A co-passenger entertainment display.
Other expected additions include rear ventilated seats, dual wireless chargers, and enhanced ambient lighting. The existing features like the Sony 12-speaker system, panoramic sunroof, ADAS Level 2, and dual-zone climate control are likely to be retained.
Expected Price and Launch Timeline
The current XUV700 is priced between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 25.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted version is expected to carry a modest premium, with top-end variants possibly crossing the Rs 28 lakh mark.
A launch is anticipated in early 2026, with Mahindra likely to unveil the SUV at the Auto Expo or through a digital reveal.
