Nissan India has introduced a factory-approved CNG retrofitment kit for its popular compact SUV, the Nissan Magnite CNG, catering to the growing demand for more economical and environmentally friendly fuel options.
Priced at ₹74,999, this CNG kit will be available from June 1, 2025, exclusively for the facelifted version of the Magnite launched in 2024.

Nissan Magnite CNG: Design and Dimensions
The Nissan Magnite maintains its bold and sporty design, featuring LED headlights, a wide grille, and roof rails that enhance its striking appearance.
Its compact dimensions—3994 mm in length, 1758 mm in width, and 1572 mm in height—make it well-suited for urban driving, while a ground clearance of 205 mm ensures capability on varied terrains.
The SUV offers a wheelbase of 2500 mm, providing ample cabin space, and a boot capacity of 336 litres for practical utility.

Nissan Magnite CNG: Powertrain and Performance
The CNG variant of the Magnite is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
While official power and torque figures for the CNG mode are yet to be disclosed, the petrol version delivers 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque.
The CNG model is expected to offer a fuel efficiency of approximately 18 to 22 km/kg, making it a cost-effective choice for daily commuting.

Inside, the Magnite CNG retains the comfort and convenience features of its petrol counterpart. It boasts a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a wireless charger, and a digital instrument cluster.
Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera. The cabin offers comfortable seating for five passengers, with fabric upholstery and practical storage solutions enhancing the overall user experience.

The CNG retrofitment kit is priced at ₹74,999 and will be available through authorized Nissan dealerships across India starting June 1, 2025.
