In today’s world, safety of passengers has become very important, and that’s why every car maker is now focusing on updating their cars with more safety features. Now, Nissan is doing the same with its Nissan Magnite, which competes with Tata Punch.
Nissan Magnite has scored 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP Crash Test. This car has been made at Nissan’s India plant for the domestic market and export.
Let us tell you that Nissan has sent facelift, pre-facelift, and modified versions of the Magnite to G-NCAP.
Test Rating of Nissan Magnite Pre Facelift
The pre-facelift model of Nissan Magnite, which was launched before October 2024 and it has scored only 2-star for each adult and child occupancy.
This car has been equipped with 2 airbags, ESC and ISOFIX. This SUV has scored 10.036 out of 16 points in the frontal offset and 14.454 out of 16 in side crash.
The car scored 24.49 out of 34 points for adult occupant safety. According to Global NCAP, the driver’s chest protection was rated as weak, while the driver’s knees and the passenger’s left knee offered only limited protection.
The pre-facelift Magnite didn’t perform well in child occupant safety, scoring just 18.39 out of 49 points. It got 14.59 out of 24 in the dynamic test, 3.8 out of 12 for child seat installation, and scored zero in the vehicle assessment category. During the frontal crash test, the head of the 3-year-old dummy was exposed, and the chest protection was also found to be weak.

Nissan Magnite Facelift Crash Test Report
Global NCAP recently tested the Nissan Magnite facelift, launched in India in October 2024. With 6 airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX as standard.
The facelifted Nissan Magnite earned a 4-star rating for adult safety, scoring 26.51 out of 34 points. It performed impressively in the side impact test, achieving a full 16 out of 16Â over 1.5 points better than before.
However, its performance in the frontal crash test showed only a slight improvement, with a score of 10.51 out of 16. When it comes to child occupant safety, the Magnite facelift showed a major improvement over the previous version, earning a 4-star rating with a score of 36 out of 49.
Its dynamic test score rose to 20/24, and vehicle assessment improved to 4/13. Most notably, it achieved a perfect 12/12 for child seat (CRS) installation.
Nissan Magnite Modified Crash Test Report
The facelifted Nissan Magnite underwent another round of crash tests with some safety updates and this time, it secured a 5-star safety rating. It scored an impressive 32.31 out of 34 points in adult occupant protection, with 15.307 out of 16 in the frontal crash test.
Protection for the driver and front passenger was rated from good to adequate. The side impact and pole tests, along with the 4-star child safety rating, remained the same as the earlier test.
