Planning to Buy a Honda Car? Prices Set to Increase From Next Month

If you are also planning to buy a Honda car in August, then there is some bad news for you. We recently spoke to a Honda dealership, and they hinted that Honda Cars India is planning to increase the prices of its entire lineup in India due to rising input costs. This will be the second time in 2026 that Honda has increased the prices of its cars.

They did not reveal the exact amount of the price hike, but they told us that the Honda Amaze is expected to see a significant increase.

The revised prices will come into effect from August 1, 2026. So, let’s take a detailed look at the same.

Price Hike is the New Normal

Over the past few months, many carmakers have increased their prices in the country, which has almost become a trend across the automobile industry. Most manufacturers are citing rising input costs as the reason behind these price revisions.

Almost every carmaker increases vehicle prices by 2–3 percent two or three times a year, which can lead to an overall price hike of up to 8 percent annually.

Current Honda Lineup

Honda Cars India currently offers three passenger vehicles in the domestic market the Amaze, City, and Elevate with each model targeting a distinct set of buyers.

The Amaze serves the compact sedan segment, the City caters to premium sedan customers, while the Elevate is positioned as the brand’s midsize SUV offering.

Looking ahead, the automaker has confirmed its intention to strengthen its lineup with upcoming electric vehicles (EVs).

However, the company has not yet announced the launch schedule or pricing details for these future EV models during the current financial year.
